The minister and members of our congregation at
Kendal believe that religion
is wider than any sect, deeper than any set of opinions, and a
source of
strength and encouragement for daily living.
There has been a Unitarian congregation
at the Kendal chapel for nearly
300 years. As we impose no creeds or statements of belief on the
minister
or congregation, you will find among us a range of religious viewpoints

from Christian to humanist; from nature spirituality to agnostic.
Though our beliefs may differ, we gain strength from each other
for our
individual spiritual journey, and share the belief that this journey
should
be based on the principles of freedom, reason and tolerance.
